Everything is white and it is snowing. Girls are singing "I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause" and dancing while playing guitar and drums. Girls jump up in the air showing their comfort and happiness in those clothes as they sing. This ad gives a very holiday look and feel to the viewers. There are snowmen all around in the ad with glimpses of white Christmas trees also. At the end it says "make a wish list".
As we can tell, this is a holiday ad. I think the marketing strategy used here is again the comfort and affordability. Girls are happy in Gap clothes jumping up and down and dancing revealing the comfort of the clothes. According to the song "I saw mommy kissing Santa", moms love GAP clothes too.
This ad uses girls only as their models. Ideologically, marketers are using gender ism in this ad. They are saying that girls have longer wish list than boys. Girls spend more on clothes or shopping overall than boys.

Winter clothes

This ad selling winter clothes for Foley's department store is shot out in nature. Location of this is outdoors in some mountains. Man, lady and children; a boy and a girl are up in the snowy mountains. Man is all equipped to ski. Girl and boy are playing with snow throwing it at each other. Then they show the pictures if different men and women as their theme song plays "You can afford it".
Foley's , in this ad, is marketing winter clothes. They have made sking a family event trying to tell that they have winter clothes for everyone in the family. More over the text budget and the theme song are pretty straight forwardly conveying that their product is affordable.
They have used a typical family set up(mom, dad and kids) tring to say that their product is affordable for an american average family. This ad hits an average middle class American family. By showing only man eqquiped with ski stuff, it might be telling that men are into sports more than women.

We"ll meet again

This commercial is for Ladybird's clothes for kids. This ad shows how kids are sad and devastating about getting away from their ladybird clothes. Girl is crying and kisses her dress good bye as she handes it to be kept away for the night. Little boy is so sad as he stares at his clothes hanging in the closet and shows disaapointment as the closet doors close.Kids standing in the window are crying as they watch their clothes being dried outside. Girl in her bed says goodbye to her clothes as they are being taken away for the night. Boy is dissapointed as he watches his clothes being thrown in the hamper to be cleaned.
marketing strategy here being used is the comfort of the clothes. They are trying to say the their clothes are so comfortable that kids don't want to get apart from them even in their sleep. The ad also suggests quietly that the prices are reasonable too. So their product is comfortable and affordable.
They have used mixed gender and race approach here. This ad is trying to say that they have product for both girls and boys and also their product is for for all kinds of kids; white and black.

We are all in this together

<a href="">

This is a Kohl's commercial. This is a very classy ad. The surface of this ad shows ladies in dresses, Little girl in dress and man wearing suit conveying that Kohls carry clothes for everyone.
I think the marketing trend here is that "we got something for everyone". The playback song "We are in this together", gives a feeling of oneness or familyness in this ad.
But this ad hits a certain class. Although, Khols sells jeans and other casual dressse too but in this ad they are hitting the upper end, high class families. The dresses, the big high end offices, candle, rose pettals, men in suit....all this is saying that khols is for upper class also and reasserting and assuming for its viewers that it is a store for middle class families anyways.

Funny ad

<a href="">

Native Style clothing

<a href="">Native Style sells apparels for men,women, and children. I think this ad suggests silently (without sating) that their product is affordable and for middle class families.

Kids in Tommy Hilfigure

Here is a add from magazine Ads.com for clothes for kids. Lots of different strategies have been used in this ad. First of all they have a boys and a girl int his ad conveying that they have product for both genders.
Then the red white and blue in the back gives a kind of patriotic look to it trying to say that their product is in house or in other words pure American (instead of made in some other part of the world but USA). This gives consumers a patriotic feeling and makes them buy it.
I think the third approach they took here is the race. they have a dark color boy in the ad which tells that they have variety of styled clothes for different color or race.

add from dollhouse

http://www.dollhouse.com/index_exp.html#

Check this add from dollhouse, makers of all kinds of women clothes and accessories.
